Sustainability and BREEAM
Sustainability is an ever-moving target in today’s age, with targets being adjusted regularly as authorities adopt the best practice through technology advancement. Our approach to sustainability is to embrace the true sense of long term health and wellbeing and our aim is to reduce the impact on natural resources through efficient and effective design philosophies.
We offer a holistic approach to sustainability, an added benefit of being a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy means we can provide an ‘engineered’ approach to solutions. Early engagement with the design team through to project completion, our sustainability team can offer a logical, pragmatic & practical approach to design.
The sustainability team at MBA benefit from having knowledge and qualifications in both BREEAM and Part L, meaning that you will consistently have a contact who is multi-disciplined and able to advise on both aspects of a project. This enables a robust strategy to be developed from an early stage in the design through to project completion.
Our team can provide BREEAM services from Pre-Assessment through to Design and Post Construction BREEAM certifications, resulting in a consistent approach that can be achieved as the BREEAM Assessor has an in-depth knowledge of the project.
The sustainability team actively engage with the other members of the design team to ensure a coordinated approach to preliminary EPC and BRUKL calculations. We also undertake ‘As designed’ and ‘As built’ EPC and BRUKL calculations for projects.
The team have vast experience in planning applications for multiple sectors across different parts of the country ranging from high-end apartments to storage warehouses.
