Multi Temperature Food Distribution Facility – Rochdale

We were appointed for the design[s] associated with the construction of Multi-Temperature Food Distribution facility with internal temperatures ranging from -25°C to +13°C.

The building was the first multi temperature Distribution Centre developed by ASDA to utilise single envelope technology and we were selected due to our extensive experience in this form of construction.

There were numerous direct dock loading facilities from the freezer chamber that required unique door design solution and humidity control.

Special attention and structure detailing was vital to ensure that thermal breaks and penetrations at complex panel joint interfaces were designed to prevent tracking and the formation of condensation.
